Lynnette "Lynn" Carol Lien

Born in Portland, Oregon to Robert Frederick Wuerth and Virginia Olga Lattanzi, Lynn spent nearly all her years in the city she loved. Her final two years were spent in New Jersey, surrounded by her husband, her daughter Nicole, her son in law Steven and grandson, Richard.

She leaves behind her brother, Richard David Wuerth, her devoted husband, Larry Ray Lien, her daughters Nicole Babette (Lien) Ferrentino and Emily Ann Lien, her son in law Steven Paul Ferrentino, and her cherished grandchildren JohnTe Lien, Sprina Vasa Lien, and Richard Lawrence Ferrentino.

Lynnette received a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Oregon State College, then dedicated her life to helping others. Family was always her first priority, yet she still found the time and heart to serve as a volunteer counselor at several organizations— a calling she embraced for years. Her compassion, insight, and steady presence touched countless lives.

A true craftswoman at heart, Lynnette found joy in renovating and remodeling anything she could get her hands on — her own home, her family’s homes, and the homes of friends. She approached every project with skill and fearlessness, whether tearing down walls, framing them in, tackling minor electrical work, laying tile, painting, or adding the perfect finishing touches. She could do anything, and she did it beautifully.

Her talent extended outdoors as well. Lynnette was a master landscaper with a deep appreciation for the Japanese aesthetic, adapting its principles of tranquility, peace, serenity, and simplicity to Oregon’s changing seasons. She created spaces — both inside and out — that felt calm, intentional, and deeply restorative. It was a gift she mastered and shared generously.

Lynnette’s legacy is one of love, service, creativity, and quiet strength. She built more than homes and gardens — she built a life full of meaning, connection, and beauty. Her presence will be profoundly missed and forever treasured by those who knew her.
