Katherine Brunson

Katherine Brunson passed away at the age of 59 on October 6, 2018 after a difficult battle with cancer. She was born Katherine Hupalowsky on September 16, 1959 in White Plains NY to her late parents Eugene T. Hupalowsky and Mayrose Hupalowsky (nee Thomasson). She lived in Westchester for several years and then moved to West Redding Connecticut for 4 years before moving to East Hampton on Long Island in NY. in 1972.

Katherine was a dedicated and excellent nurse for 7 years and was loved by her patients and colleagues. She achieved her true calling in life.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Darrell Brunson. Her two children, Cecelia Italiani(Luis)and NIcholas Italiani (Crystal), her grandchildren, David and Dylan and the light of her life, 4 year old Nicole. Her older siblings Helen Hupalowsky and Thomas(Tom)Hupalowsky and younger brother James Hupalowsky. She was predeceased by her older sister Eugenia(Gina) Ovsinick. She is survived by her 6 nephews Matthew (Bridget), Andrew (Lindsay), Gregory, Kelly (Belinda), Stephen ( David), Jayson and Ulysses and niece Zephany (Shawn). She was a beloved daughter in law, and sister in law to Christina, Jennifer, Priscilla, Darlene, Paula and Patty. Katherine was a devoted and caring mother, sister, wife and friend. She always put others before herself and was willing to help anyone. Katherine was always a free sprirt and fun loving and always there when you asked for her love and help.She had a great off beat sense of humor and in tough circumstances she never quit. If you needed anything Katherine was there. She enjoyed among other things, camping, board games, spending time with her family but her passion was as an avid writer and poet.

She will be missed by all. "To know Katherine was to Love her"
