George G Hawxhurst

George G. Hawxhurst passed away on April 5th at home in his sleep of natural causes at the age of 97. He is survived by his wife Lillian Hawxhurst, his daughter Nancy LeFevre, and son Douglas G Hawxhurst, as well as five grandchildren, Douglas L (and wife Erica) Scott, Thomas (and wife Vania), Claire Napierala ( and husband Ryan ) and Kaye LeFevre. He was sadly pre-deceased by his son Stephen two years ago, whom he greatly missed.

He also had three great grandchildren, Emersen, Savannah, and Grayson. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War ll until it's end. He retired as a business owner and lived on his farm in Virginia with Lillian for many years before moving to the Rossmoor Community. He enjoyed golf from a young age in High School on Staten Island N.Y. where he grew up. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and true American Hero from the greatest generation will be sadly missed.
