Donald was born in Chelsea Michigan to Alex Mshar and Ruth Mshar (Fleming) on May 15, 1938. He married his high school sweetheart Rebecca Mshar (Miller) on October 26, 1957, in Chelsea Michigan. He was a graduate of Chelsea High School. After graduating he worked as a sales manager for Dana Corporation until he and his wife along with their 3 sons opened Mshar Power Train Specialists in Harrisburg PA. in 1985. After retiring Don and Becky traveled around the United States working with Work-Kampers at different campgrounds and in the winter months they worked for Disney World in Orlando Fl. Don was a member of West Shore Elks 2257 in Camp Hill, Pa. In 1999-2000 he became Exalted Ruler and has remained a member ever since. He was also a member of Perseverance Lodge #21in Harrisburg PA. Don had lots of hobbies, especially woodworking, which he has made many cherished pieces for his family and friends. He also was avid in working with lead glass. Don loved to travel with his wife and spend time with his family.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents Alex Mshar and Ruth Mshar (Fleming), his sister Barbara Clark (Mshar), brother-in-law Bill Clark and his son Kenneth Mshar.
He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Mshar (Miller) of 67 years, his children Thomas Mshar (Eileen) of Camp Hill, PA and James Mshar (Natalie) of Newtonville, NJ., his brother James Mshar (Marie) of Michigan, sisters Joyce Shaninger (Jack) in Tennessee and Nancy Bihlmeyer(John) of Michigan, 3 Grandsons, Thomas Mshar (Liz) of NC, Nicholas Mshar (Betsy) of NC and Andrew Mshar (Maureen) of Va., He was also blessed with great- grandchildren Eden, Landon, Siena and Finn as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved by many friends.
