Donald James Charles Leek Jr., born March 7, 1956 passed away in his hometown of Sweetwater, New Jersey on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Skelly; his father, Donald Leek Sr; and his sister, Kim Leek-Bond.
Donald was the true definition of a gentleman. He was always helping his friends and family in whatever capacity needed. He was an avid collector of trains, military models and ducks. His collections can impress all ages. Donalds attention to detail was impressive and appreciated. His knowledge and love for boats, cars and gardening was well known.
Don or Uncle Donald, as he was mostly known as, was a shining light in the lives of all who were Blessed to know him. His life was marked by kindness, compassion, attention to detail, and hard work. His passing has left a huge void in the hearts of his family, friends and all whose lives were touched by him. The family asks that you remember him not for the way his life ended but for the way he lived, and the amazing impact he had on the friends and family who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. Donald always took on new opportunities and did everything with honesty and integrity.
Those who knew Donald will remember him for his genuine smile, his commitment to helping others and of course his candy and dog treats he always had on hand.
Although Donald is no longer with us, the family asks to honor him by always offering a helping hand to others and choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, just as he did.
