Dolores Mary Broking

Guttenberg, NJ-Mrs. Dolores M Broking, beloved wife of Richard Broking, 89, passed away on October 18, 2019 in Succasunna, NJ. She spent most of her life in Guttenberg, NJ, and previously resided in Whiting, NJ.

Dolores was born in Guttenberg, NJ to John and Bridgette Pohlig on December 25, 1929. She married her husband of 69 years, Richard on August 13, 1950 at St Josephs Church in West New York, NJ. In addition to being a full time Mother, she worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Anna L Klein School in Guttenberg.

She loved road trips and camping with “Richie” and her family. Music and dancing provided Dolores much joy throughout her life. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, and made with love, many items that her family will always treasure.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother John Pohlig.

Dolores is survived by her husband Richard, Children Ellen Buechner (Philip), Scott Broking (Eileen), and Brian Broking (Emily). She has 6 Grand Children; Kenneth Buechner, Julie Stroffolino, Kelly Laki, David Broking, Keith Broking, and Melissa Farley, and 10 great grandchildren. Kenneth Buechner, Kaitlyn Buechner, Paul Stroffolino, Jake Laki, Luke Laki, David Broking, Jordan Broking, Ian Broking, Liam Farley, Brianna Broking and Bradley Broking.

Funeral services will be held at St Therese Church, Succasunna, NJ on Thursday, November 7th at 10:00 AM. A private burial will follow at Brigadier General William Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ at a future date.
