Alan proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1979. In 1987, he relocated to Florida where he combined his passion for craftsmanship with entrepreneurial spirit to build a thriving business specializing in antique restoration. Alan was also the founder of The Unarmed Underground Art Center, affectionately known as “The Hut,” located on Kanuga Drive in West Palm Beach. This creative haven became a welcoming space for artists of all kinds to explore and develop their talents under Alan’s guidance and encouragement.
Alan was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary Patrusevich, as well as his brother Kenneth. He is survived by his four children: Jason (Jennifer) of Rhode Island; Aimee (Michael) of Florida; Stephanie (Jared) of Washington; and Josef of Oregon. He also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Autumn, Lexi, Carr, Sloane, Josie, and Norrin. He is also survived by his brothers Walter, Gerald, Brian and Edward, along with extended family members and many dear friends.
Alan’s legacy is one of creativity, generosity, and dedication to both his craft and the people around him. His contributions to the artistic community and his unwavering support for others will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
