Wayne Jay Grim Sr.

He passed on 7/26/2021 at 79 years old in Brooksville, FL. He went to school at Gwynn Falls JR. High and a Vocational all Boys High School. He played guitar for dances at the teen centers at 15 years of age and continued with his music career in bands and on Christian albums finishing with the Big Band from NY in Florida. His siblings are Gloria Taylor from Hancock, MD, Oscar (Sarge) Grim from Pasadena, MD and Debbie Hook from Jacksonville, FL. He was married to Joyce and they lived in Baltimore, MD for 30 years raising 2 children Wayne J. Grim, Jr. now living in Oakland, CA and Tracy McCarthy now living in Peoria, AZ. Wayne married his 2nd wife Ruth E. on Oct. 17, 1997 and is step Father to Leasa Colvin from White Marsh, MD and Tina Workman from Delta, Pa. He is survived by 5 grandchildren, Felecia Wilson, Joshua Scheckels, Noe’ Grim, Nathan Clay and Piper May Workman. There are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Wayne worked at XPEDX/International Paper for 40 years driving tractor trailer and serving on the safety committee receiving several plaques. The family prefers contributions in his memory be directed to St. Jude’s.
