COOK, Wayne R., 77, of Inverness FL, passed away on June 15, 2017 at home surrounded by family. Born August 21, 1939 in Long Valley, NJ, he moved to Palm Beach County in 1974 and retired to Inverness in 2004. He enjoyed Oldies music, Classic Cars, Motorcycles, Boating, Fishing, Diving, Sports, and Traveling. He also had a love for Animals and Nature. He was a Navy veteran and a member of St. John's No. 1 F. & A. M. Masonic Lodge in Mountain Lakes, NJ. He was a Body Shop Manager and Supervisor for most of his life, a man of his word who instilled a tremendous work ethic in his children, a loving husband and provider, a proud veteran, and a man of men with a generosity to his family and friends that went above and beyond. He will be deeply missed by all. “Our Loss, Heaven's Gain”. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Cook; mother, Gertrude S. Cook; and brother, Gary D Cook. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patricia Higgins Cook; two daughters: Angel M. (Donny) Darville and Dana Cook (Victor) Houston, both of Inverness, FL; son, Robert A. (Carolyn) Cook of Loxahatchee, FL; brother, Marc D. (Tina) Cook of Long Valley, NJ; sister, Gloria A. (Jack-best friend and Navy comrade) Leopold of Inverness, FL; and 4 grandchildren: Tiffany (Drew) Farkus of Oxford, FL; SrA Robbie (SSgt Jenny Cook, USAF) Cook, USAF; Kylie Cook, and Connor Cook of Loxahatchee, FL.
