Walter D. Holbert Jr. (Butch), age 78, passed away peacefully and was accepted into the arms of our lord and savior on January 2, 2024 at approximately 10:16 a.m., at Baycare Alliant Hospital in Dunedin, FL. He was born on August 2,1945 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Walter D. Holbert Sr. and Danita Stout. Then later grew up in Rachel, West Virginia.
He was a certified specialist in automotive tune-up and air conditioning
He worked in sales, selling doors and dumpster services. Additionally, he did commercial work painting houses in the Pasco County, FL area. He was a member of the Dade City Board Of Directors from 1990 - 1993. From 1994 - 2010 he was a member of the West Pasco Sertoma Club. When his children were young he enjoyed spending time with them and participating in their sports activities.
Some of his hobbies included painting landscapes on canvas, fishing and working on cars for racing with his best friend Gary. He was the type of man to help those in need and always wanted to make someone laugh.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol; a son, James; a daughter, Janice; a granddaughter, Erika; his sister; Karen, a brother; Danny; as well as many nieces and nephews.
