He was born in Trenton, New Jersey on November 10, 1946 to Pearl (Halliday) & Garber Barota.
Tom was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for 22 years (and 10 days) and was a card-carrying member of the America Legion, Legionnaire, Moose Club and Off Base.
He and his beautiful wife, Theresa, were married in Florence, New Jersey on June 20, 2004. Together, they enjoyed almost 20 years of love, karaoke and traveling from Northern Michigan to the Florida Keys.
He was a funny and charismatic man who worked hard all his life. He hunted and fished and he drank light beer. He was a carpenter and an artist and an eternal romantic.
His family was the most important thing in the world to him and he loved them all with his whole heart. He will be missed beyond measure.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Goss) Barota, his kids: Jeffery (Kayla) Morris, Natalie (Kevin) Kalthoff, Christopher (Lexi) Tennant, Cassey (Scott) Higaki, his 9 grandchildren, and his siblings: George Barota, Kathy Knapp and Pam (Doug) Plute.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Garber and Pearl Barota, and his brother, Bill.
A memorial service for Thomas will be held at 1pm on Friday, May 26th at Bushnell National Cemetery, followed, on Saturday, May 27th, by a Celebration of Life, at The Off Base Club in Port Richey, FL.
