AUDIFFEREN, Samuel Akinola, 78, of Tampa, passed away December 17, 2017, at Tampa Community Hospital. Samuel was born March 5, 1939, in Nigeria of French/German Swiss Roots, to Joseph R. Audifferen and Sarah I. (Wilson) Audifferen. Mr. Audifferen was a graduate of King's College in Lagos, Nigeria and gained various certificates in Biblical Studies. He then Immigrated to Glasgow, Scotland, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Paisley, Scotland, and graduated as a certified teacher from St. Andrews College of Education with "Merit in Teaching." For almost two decades, he was Head of the Biology Department in the Scottish High School, during which period, he spent a few years reading for Ph.D. He successfully contributed to the development of Scottish Examination Board courses within the science field. Represented the Baptist Union of Scotland in the British Council of Churches from 1976 to 1989, and the Baptists in the Glasgow Council of Churches from 1985 to 1989. Relocated to the United States of America where he read and gained Master of Science degree majoring in Educational Leadership. Continued education took him to various universities in U.S.A. Sam was a long time member of First Baptist Church Tampa. In the past he was a faithful member of the Bible Study classes and enjoyed singing in the choir. He loved the Lord and was always ready to share his Christian testimony. He always showed concern for other. Survivors include his wife Sidiah Audifferen; adopted grandson Guy Simon Audifferen; and many other loving family members and friends.
