Roy Albert Christ

Roy A. Christ, 90, of Oswego NY, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023 and is now reunited with his beloved wife Ann E. (Boyd) Christ. He was born in Buffalo NY on December 28, 1932. He was raised with his siblings Joan (late Herbert) Faltisco and Peter (Paula) Christ.

Together Roy and Ann raised four children; Debra (Christ) Rektorik, late Michael (Eva) Christ, Sandra (Michael) Vargo, Brian (Traci) Christ and have nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He worked as an auto mechanic, was a former owner of a Texaco Gas Station and retired from General Motors at the age of 62. Roy also served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wasp. He was Past Chief and President of the Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department.

Prior to moving to Oswego to be with family, Roy enjoyed several years in Hudson Florida, one of the many places he and Ann traveled to during the years they spent together traveling North America in their RV. He enjoyed helping others and was loved by many in the community he lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be graciously accepted by; Oncology Floor Upstate University Golisano Hospital in Syracuse NY, The Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department and The Wounded Warrior Project.
