Robert (Bob) Kelly McAnespie, 97, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at Discovery Village in Tampa, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Bradenton, FL, Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness and warmth left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his son Terry McAnespie and wife Stefanie, son John Cleveland, daughter Heather Krueger, and grandchildren Shawn McAnespie, Shane McAnespie, Chase Krueger, and Beck Krueger. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilee, and daughter, Nancy.
A proud veteran, Bob served honorably in the U.S. Army before dedicating 32 years to Tampa Electric Company as a Buyer and Warehouse Manager. After retiring, he shared his passion for learning as a part-time substitute teacher. An accomplished watercolor artist, Bob was a member of the National Watercolor Society and Florida Watercolor Society, and he inspired others by teaching watercolor classes at local community centers. His love for playing the piano, quick wit, and infectious laugh will be cherished by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillsborough AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care. Bob’s legacy of love and creativity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
