Dick lived his entire life in Omaha before moving to Tampa, FL in 2004 after his retirement.
He graduated from Creighton Preparatory School and shortly after, he enlisted in the US Navy. He was employed by Omaha Steaks, Int’l. for 37 years and retired as Executive VP of Manufacturing and Production.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Irene (Victor) Bezousek, sisters Pat Shepherd, Nancy Proctor, and sister-in-law Beth Bezousek.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 30 years Brenda Jefferson Bezousek, and his children Deb Lucas and husband Neil of Punta Gorda, FL, Teresa Macaitis, Cindy Merrill, and Rick Bezousek and wife Tonya, all of Omaha, step daughters Melissa and Stefanie Leaver of Tampa, FL, brothers Ronald “Butch” Bezousek, Robert “Bob” Bezousek and wife Debbie all of Omaha, six grandchildren, one step grandson, and ten great grandchildren, brothers-in-law Lee Shepherd and Larry Proctor, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In recent years he was affectionately known as “Poppi” by loved ones and close friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Omaha, NE on September 9th, 2023 at Oak Hills Country Club from 2-4pm.
In Lieu of flowers a donation in Dick’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
