Nancy Dawn Frye

She was born on February 17, 1952, in Gary, IN, the daughter of Charles (Chuck) F. Nixon, Sr. and Helen L (Childress) Nixon, who preceded her in death. Nancy is survived by her husband of 40 years David; her children Jeff (Michele) Nix of Chesterton, IN and Melissa (Phil) Conrad of Portage, IN; grandchildren Nathan and Ryan Nix, Bradley, Shelby, and Brody Conrad; her sister Penelope (Penny) Beattie of Lake Station, IN and brother Charles (Chuckie) F. Nixon Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL. as well as an aunt and cousin to numerous others. Nancy was a graduate of East Gary Edison High School, Class of 1970. Nancy worked as a certified nursing assistant in several hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Northwest Indiana. Before moving to Florida, she worked in childcare. Nancy enjoyed dancing and was known to have a beautiful voice. She enjoyed spending time with her family. The family has decided to hold a celebration of life in Nancy’s honor, in Northwest Indiana but it has not been scheduled at this time.
