Michelle Anne Cloutier of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Born in Topeka, Kansas, while her father was stationed at Forbes Air Force Base, Michelle spent her childhood on military bases before the family settled in Merrimack, New Hampshire. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire and proudly entered military service, achieving the rank of First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army while stationed in Wildflecken, Germany.
Following her service, Michelle moved to Toronto, Ontario, where she earned her MBA and later her Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Toronto. Her love of travel and passion for adventure were matched only by her deep commitment to serving others. Michelle was a devoted volunteer with many organizations and truly embodied the message to “love one another.”
Michelle was predeceased by her father, Richard Cloutier. She is survived by her mother, Anne Cloutier of Nashua, NH; her brother, Timothy of Manchester, NH, and his wife, Alison; her nephew, Patrick; and niece, Theresa.
A funeral service and interment will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in mid-December. A memorial service will be held at Lakewood United Church of Christ, 2601 54th Avenue S, St. Petersburg, Florida on December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michelle’s name to Lakewood United Church of Christ in St. Petersburg, Habitat for Humanity, or the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
