Mary T. Fite

Mary Truett Fite went to be with our heavenly father on October 21, 2023. Mary was born in Annville (formerly Bond), Kentucky, on March 21, 1937, to George Truett and Laura (Davis) Truett. As a young adult, Mary went to Dayton, Ohio, to seek work. While working in Dayton at NCR (National Cash Register), she met Marvin Lee Fite. Mary and Marvin were married in Dayton and had one child, a daughter, Rhonda. Mary and her family moved to Safety Harbor, Florida in 1973, where she would live in the same home until she became a resident in a nursing facility in 2021.

She was a phenomenal mother and grandmother, taking great pride in her daughter and her two grandchildren, and was always very active in their lives. She was devoted to her church, always helping whenever and however she could.

She is survived by her only child, daughter, Rhonda Potts, her grandchildren, Kayla Potts and Austin Potts, her sister Mae McBride, and many other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin, her brother, Vernon Truett (Jeannette Truett), her sister Ruby Tincher (Roy Tincher), and other family members and friends who have gone before her.

She was a kind, caring, and strong woman, who was a friend to everyone she met. Her smile and kindness will be remembered for years to come.
