Mary Ann Baillargeon

Mary Ann Baillargeon passed away peacefully on September 24th, 2026, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, Mary built a life centered on family, love, creativity, and quiet grace.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Dale E. Lemon and Viola May Lemon, and her siblings, Kenneth Lemon and Linda Bartley. She is lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 54 years, Ronald Baillargeon; her daughter, Michelle Carroll, and her husband George of Tucson, Arizona; her sons, Kevin Baillargeon of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Brian Baillargeon and his wife Whitney of Parrish, Florida. Mary also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Mary’s artistic gifts flourished while attending Eastern High School. Her talent earned her an art scholarship to Northwood Institute for a drawing submission judged by the renowned art collector and connoisseur Vincent Price. Creativity remained a constant throughout her life. After relocating to Tucson, AZ in 1993, she continued to draw, paint, sculpt, and etch. She adopted a new medium during a flower arranging course. Recognizing her aptitude, Mary’s instructor offered her a position as a floral designer at a prominent Tucson florist.

Following her time in Tucson, Mary moved to Mesa, AZ, Virginia Beach, VA, and eventually settled in Ruskin Florida where she could indulge her love of the beach. Her other passions included travel, art history, reading, and exploring every art show, craft fair, or antique shop she could find. Above all, she treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who will never forget her attention, efforts, and influence in their lives.

We will always remember her kindness, artistic spirit, humility, and the abiding love she extended to everyone around her. Her legacy will live on in the many hearts she touched throughout her life.
