She worked as a banquet server, legal secretary, housewife and entrepreneur. In her post-high school years in the mid-1950's, she lived briefly in Ft. Worth Texas, Topeka Kansas, and Southern California. In the 1970's in Honolulu, she pursued passions as a ceramic and macrame artist, seamstress, and loving mother. In the early 1980's she traveled by backpack around the world for nine months, to the US mainland and across Europe, Turkey, Nepal, India, and Australia.

In her subsequent years she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, then to Largo, and pursued dancing - developing into an advanced-level West Coast Swing and Salsa dancer. In 2017, she received the J. Henning Ambassador Award from the Tampa Bay West Coast Swing Association. She was known for being an instructive practice partner, avid event coordinator, enthusiastic cook and house party host, a gregarious conversationalist, and a fine arts lover.

During her retirement years she was co-Member of the Largo Miata Club with her long term partner -the late JP Ostrica- and drove around the United States for recreation. Her two final international trips in the early 2000's were to Japan and South Korea.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her older sister Alberta Young (Honolulu, HI) and her long-term partner JP Ostrica (July 21, 2025). She is survived by her only son Byron Curtis Mark, age 62, of Largo, FL and granddaughter Samantha Joyce Dunn, age 37, of San Diego, CA.

At her request to her son, no services are planned. Letters of condolence and remembrance can be mailed to her family at 3050 Brookfield Dr Largo Fl 33771. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider making a donation to a local homeless shelter, as Midge cared greatly about the homeless and dispossessed, and was kind and generous to those she encountered.
