Dr. Hewitt was the type of educator who instilled a love of learning in all of her students.  She had a joy for life and such a wonderful sense of humor.  I always looked forward to any graduate class Dr. Hewitt was teaching.  I am sad to have learned she is gone, but am grateful for having had the opportunity to get to know her.

Margaret was a force to be reckoned with but she was kind, funny and her energy and spirit will live on.   She will be missed but never forgotten.
