Peggi Stewart Dubendorfer, 79 passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in Clearwater, FL at home with her daughter by her side, five weeks after her beloved husband passed. Born to Edna and Robert Stewart on October 4, 1943. Peggi graduated from The Toledo School of Nursing in 1964 as an RN and over the years worked in the ER, Labor & Delivery, Med/Surgery, and Orthopedic departments. She married her soulmate, Gary, in 1965 and they were stationed at the Air Force base in Germany in Darmstadt, where she was a school nurse.
They moved back to the states after Gary’s discharge to start a family. Their son David was born in 1968, and their daughter Angie was born in 1972, and adopted soon after. After being a stay at home mom for eight years, she worked in home health care, giving loving care to many people. Later, she also started her own answering service. At the end of her career, she worked side by side with her husband in multiple dental supply companies.
Peggi was a devoted member of the church over the years, giving her musical talent to the choir and handbell ringers for many decades. She was also on the board of the Friends of Dunedin library. She loved being involved in her children’s activities and being a team mom. She faithfully met once a month with her ladies group, long term friends from FL. She and Gary also loved attending their class reunions in Toledo, Ohio.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Smith, son, David “Dubie” Dubendorfer (Carrie), grandchildren Charlie and Jacob, sister-in-Law, Joyce Donaldson (Jim), and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on August 19, 2023, at the St. Michael Old Catholic Church, 2680 Bayshore Blvd, Dunedin, FL for both Peggi and her husband Gary
