Malcolm was a graduate of Flora High School in Flora, Mississippi. He served in the US Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and was a proud veteran of the Korean war. Following his tour of duty, Malcolm continued his education, earning a bachelor's degree in business from Mississippi State University in 1958. Malcolm was a well-respected leader in business and industry. His career spanned more than four decades during which he held positions both domestically (Jackson, MS and Chicago, IL) and internationally (Hong Kong and China). He retired in 1996 to Homosassa, Florida, where he was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Crystal River. Malcolm is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (nee Byrd), the love of his life. The two recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 6, 2023. He also is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Bankroff (Scott) and Pamela Jacover (Stuart) and his beloved granddaughters, Sarah Jacover, Lauren Jacover, and Hannah Jacover, the apples of their "Papa's" eye.
A memorial service honoring Malcolm is planned for Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM. The service will be held at First Baptist Church of Crystal River, 700 N. Citrus Avenue, Crystal River, FL 34428.
