Linda Clery Hotchkiss, beloved wife of Douglass Hotchkiss, of Wimauma, Florida and Little Diamond Island in Portland, Maine, died peacefully on April 24 after a brief illness as she did most things in life, with her husband by her side. Born on April 14, 1950 to the late Michael and Della (Newell) Clery, Linda grew up in Billerica, MA. Linda has called the communities of Chelmsford, MA, Clearwater, FL, Alpharetta, GA and Somerset, NJ home over the years. Linda was an active fundraising volunteer in Clearwater, FL and served as the president of the PTA for the St. Paul’s School in Clearwater. While she enjoyed many hobbies including stained glass work, stitcheries, travel and cruising, her passion was cooking, baking and entertaining. The community and island of Little Diamond Island in Portland, Maine is an idyllic slice of Maine that she cherished. Linda loved to be active in the community there, hosting dinners and large gatherings for the island residents and guests. Linda will be sorely missed by those who knew her big laugh, generous spirit and quick wit. Along with her husband, Linda is survived by her cherished son, Jeffrey and his wife, Tracey; her adored grandsons, Jack and Tyler Hotchkiss; her brother, Michael Clery, Jr and his family; and her sister Barbara Pattullo and her family. Linda was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. A celebration of life will be held on Little Diamond Island, Maine.
