After a long struggle with health issues, Lawrence (“Larry”) Bonneau passed away in his sleep and without pain on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Suncoast Hospice, Palm Harbor, Florida. Larry is predeceased by his parents, Irene (née Adams) and William Bonneau, his sister, Sheila, and beloved partner, Franklin George. He is survived by his cherished friend, Tamara Walsh.
Larry was born in 1945 in San Diego, CA, and raised in the Manchester, N.H. area. He was a 1963 graduate of Bishop Bradley High School, Manchester, NH, attended St Anselm College, Manchester, NH, and the Boston Conservatory of Music, Boston, MA, graduating in 1969. After graduation, he relocated to New York City and worked for a time as a puppeteer, traveling around the country. He later found his calling in ballroom dancing in the Boston, MA, area, teaching at both Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray Dance Studios for over 40 years.
After retiring, he moved in 2014 to Clearwater Beach, Florida, where he was happy, relaxed and enjoyed life. During retirement, he continued his lifetime love of theatre, and once acted in a play and stage-managed another. He enjoyed boat rides (he loved the dolphins!), going out to dinner, and other various entertainments.
Honoring his wishes, Larry’s ashes will be scattered in Palm Harbor, FL
