When I think of memories of Jack, I think of birthdays Christmases, just hanging out and playing in the neighborhood. I remember the battle of chocolate cakes and how we wanted the biggest and best on our own birthday. I remember taking Jack to the movies with one of my friends, we saw the 13 Ghosts. What I really remember is how mom made me feel for Jack's nightmares.  I remember coming back from Sr. Mary's U. and coming home early enough to get some sleep, and Jack being beside my bed when I woke up. He was waiting for my college stories.  After the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago, I drove home after dark and looking at the house, Jack had put a Pat Paulson for president poster in the big bay window and put a spot light on it.  Jack was in love with Carole, and, when we visited Quebec for their wedding, Jack was able to be devoted to Carole and be the charming host for his mother, siblings, and their guests. He's amazing.
Carole, Jack was many things, but I'd say he was creative and not boring. That is reserved for us older members of the family.  You found a wonderful guy and I knew him too, he's my brother.

Sorry to hear of your loss. John was always a friendly guy and always helpful for the people at State. Jphn was always a good guy to me. Sorry to hear about his passing. Praying for his family. Rob and Janneane Baker

I am so saddened to hear about this. My heartfelt condolences to all of his nearest and dearest.

The Kilkenny's are here!.  The shout would go out. A bit confusing to me as a youngster because we were the Kilkenny's too. Uncle George and Aunt Stelle would pull up to the Delavan farm and the City Mice and the Country Mice , would be joined. Likewise, when the Don Kilkenny's would caravan to Milwaukee to visit our rich city cousins, someone might be left behind for the cousin exchange. The Delavan farm was as exotic to George and Estelle's brood as North 50th was to the country cousins of Uncle Don and Aunt Ruth's. Jack was an age match with his cousin, my sister Connie but at least I was a boy like him and only two years younger. Walking the crick, that ran through the farm, a guy thing, was a tradition that gave me time with Jack.  The word cousin I found had a much larger definition than a mere genetic relationship. We were siblings that lived apart. 
I feel honored to share the name he gave to his son.

Cousin Kevin/KC/Sam Kilkenny

All of the family is in my prayers.  I worked with John at FDOT and he was always a person to help and provide guidance while doing his job.  He was professional, helpful and an all around great individual.  He will be missed.

Jack and Carole enjoyed many days on Siesta Key and Coquina Beach as our families grew up together here in West Central Florida. These memories are precious and Jack will be dearly missed.

Carole,Estelle,&Kevin, So sorry to hear about Jack. I was so glad I got the chance to visit Jack on my trips to Florida. We had great visits. His Irish sense of humor and great smile will always stick with me. What a wonderful relationship the George and Don Kilkenny families had on the visits to Milwaukee and the Delavan farm in our youth. God Bless. Cousin Phil
