Woody was born on June 13, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to Nobel and Clarice (Willette) Woodall. He was the youngest of four children and carried that role with a spirited and warm personality that stayed with him throughout his life.
Woody shared a beautiful 58-year marriage with his beloved wife, Phyllis Diane Tyner, whom he married on July 2, 1964. Their life together was centered on love, faith, and family, and he remained devoted to her until her passing in 2022.
Woody proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later earned an Associate of Arts degree. He built a successful career in the pipe and valve industry, working in both sales and procurement, where he was known for his integrity, work ethic, and strong relationships.
A man of deep faith, Woody was a devoted member of Belmont Baptist Church. He served faithfully in many roles and was the spiritual leader of his family, guiding them with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering belief. His faith was the cornerstone of his life.
Woody also had a love for sports and a particular passion for golf, which brought him joy and many cherished memories over the years.
He is survived by his two daughters, Cami Vance (Cliff Vance) and Cyndi Keding (Billy Keding), and his seven beloved grandchildren: Joshua Keding, Drew Vance, Jake Keding, Bonnie Vance, Hunter Keding, Abby Vance, and Hannah Keding. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on through those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Belmont Baptist Church, 7830 N 56th St, Tampa, FL 33617, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rucki Hospice Center in his honor.
