James Edward Monroe was born May 10th, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ to Joseph and Dorothy Monroe. He attended Memorial High School in West New York, an active member of their Varsity Football Team. He then joined the Airforce and served our country from 1959 to 1961. In 1962 James achieved highest scores in both the physical and written tests, joining the Teaneck Fire Department and loyally serving Teaneck from 1962 to 1973. From there, James spent the rest of his career in sales, moving from New Jersey to California before finally settling in Beverly Hills, Florida. James Edward Monroe is survived by his two children; Nicholas and Meredith, four grandchildren; Eva, Nicholas Jr, Madalyn and Zander and a great-grandchild, Vivian.
