Jacky, fondly known as Jack aka Mr. B the folk artist, was born to John and Jerri Beverland, on May 15, 1939, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was a talented athlete who loved playing basketball. After 2 year college degree, Jack became employed by Winn-Dixie Grocery Stores and moved up in the company to a District Manager until his retirement in the early 1990’s.
Jack is well known in the Folk Art world, with paintings on display in a library, various art shows, private homes and galleries, etc. He worked with the Arts4All Collective supporting art education. He worked locally with several schools, helping individuals with exceptional needs make treasure boxes. Around his neighborhood, Jack is well known for mowing yards. He loved being outside and helping others.
Jack is survived by his second wife Karen. He is also survived by his three children from his first wife, Linda, who passed away 01/03/2001: Dusti, Traci and Durk. His grandchildren: Nicole, Michelle, Jacqulene, Victoria, Misti, Zachary, Kyle and Taylor. Jack is also survived by his older brother Jerald, and younger brother Tim. Jack is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, as well as a multitude of grand puppies and kitties.
Celebration of life will be held at 4pm on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at North Tampa Church of Christ, 3611 E County Line Rd, Lutz, FL. 33559.
