Idis Nieves Lani

Born to the late Claudio and Virginia Acevedo in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

Beloved wife of 48 years to Robert Lani; cherished mother of William Barrett (deceased) and Raquel Sharp and step mother of Joseph (Carole) Lani, Edward (Beth) Lani, James Lani, Laura (Ken) Hogan and Nina Ingrassia; loving grandmother of Jillian Hogan, Megan (John) Grimaldi (nee Hogan), Jessica (Drew) Surmanek (nee Lani), Edward Lani Jr., Samantha Sharp, Jasmine Lani and Juniper Lani; Beloved great-grandmother of Julian Grimaldi; and dear sister of Frank Nieves.

She was a Roman Catholic and active in Staten Island in the Spanish-American Republican Club. She also served as Secretary in the Charlotte County Republican Club.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens, 1750 Curlew Rd, Palm Harbor, FL.
