George Kysela

It is with great sadness we announce that our beloved father George F. Kysela, Sr. passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025. He is survived by his sons George Jr. (Milena) and Stanley (Julie), his grandchildren Robert, Daniel, Victoria, Carly and his six great grandchildren Giovanni, Brooklyn, Maya, Katherine, Brielle, and Alexander.

George was born in Czechoslovakia on March 27, 1935. In 1968 he and his wife of 67 years, Sonia, left the country to Switzerland and in 1969 they immigrated to the United States to start a new and better life. He worked very hard to make successful a television repair shop and two restaurants he and Sonia owned in the Chicago (Berwyn) area.

When he retired, he and Sonia moved to Florida where they enjoyed their golden years. George took every opportunity to go boating places and do fun things. Most of all he loved when his sons and grandkids visited with them in Florida.

George was sweet, fun-loving, and loved by many. He will truly be missed by all.
