David L. Tieff, born in July of 1948 in Bethlehem, PA was the son of Mitchell and Anna (Luxion) Tieff and was the younger brother of Michael Tieff. He passed away peacefully after a brave battle against brain cancer on Saturday, July 20, 2024, one week before his 76th birthday. He is survived by his two daughters: Regan Tieff of Salt Lake City, UT (life partner Aaron Atkinson), Brianne Fadale of Jamestown, NY (husband Tom Fadale); two grandsons, Finnegan and Flynn Fadale, his older brother Michael Tieff D.O. of West Palm Beach, FL (wife Bernadette Tieff, sons Michael and Matthew Tieff); first wife Maripat McNulty (of Villa Park, IL) and extended family and friends. Dave was a painter, woodworker, teacher, father, grandfather and a friend to everyone he met. His contagious laugh, enthusiastic storytelling, good humor, and striking blue eyes could soften the most hardhearted of people. Even in his last weeks and harshest of days he was able to build positive relationships with those around him. He will be sorely missed. A whole-hearted thank you to all who supported him through this difficult time. Memorial donations may be made to The Glioblastoma Foundation. At Dave’s request, no memorial service will be held.
