Cynthia “Cindy” Hunter, 68, passed away on August 1, 2025, after a courageous and graceful battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Walter, and her parents, John and Margaret Bottiger. She is survived by her children, Mikaela (husband Angel), Aubrey, Lauren, and Bryan (wife Lakin); her five grandchildren, Christian, Christopher, Oni, Estrella and Zoey; and her siblings John, Jimmy, and Jason. Cindy will be remembered for her fierce loyalty to the people and things she held close to her heart. In 2024, she retired after a long career at Progressive where she received multiple awards for her work and developed friendships that she valued deeply. Her strong work ethic is one of the traits she passed down to her children and she showed them they could be successful at whatever they put their mind to. Over the last year, Cindy focused on creating lasting memories with her loved ones and cherishing time spent with her family and her best fur-friend, Chester. She was so brave and so strong, and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her children take comfort knowing that she is with the love of her life and is resting peacefully. The family will be having a Celebration of Life in Cindy’s honor; details will be given at a later date.
