passed away at a Tampa hospital on January 18, 2019, after a brief illness.
Carol was born July 27, 1940, the daughter of Marjorie Soule and the late Roger Soule. She
was a 1959 graduate of Homer Central School and New Paltz State University and attended
Syracuse University in 1961 for sculpting and figure drawing.
Carol had a 20-year career in computer sign design and production with a local Tampa business. Carol was a gifted graphics designer and painter and loved her current hobby of jewelry making.
Surviving her are:
Her beloved Mother, Marjorie Soule
Loving Daughter Christine Mae Stoughton Britt (Gary) of Plant City, Florida;
Loving Son: Richard Stoughton (Sue) of Groton, New York;
Four precious grandchildren; Rob, Steve, Will and Emily Stoughton.
She was the beloved sister to Jim (Nancee) Soule, Ron Soule, Cathy (Roy) Stone,
and Judy (John), Swayze.
Location, date and time for the family memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, please make a donation to the Breast Cancer Foundation in Carol's name. Thank You.
As per her wishes, Neptune Society Cremation Services and Funeral Home of Palm Harbor, FL, has been
asked to provide their services. The family thanks all of Carol's friends and family who have known
and loved her throughout her life.
