

ROHRBAUGH, Bonita, 84, St. Petersburg, FL, passed Jan. 29, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born in Dayton OH but was raised in Washington D.C. and moved to St. Petersburg in 1971 with her husband Duke and five of their eight children.
The couple, members of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club (where Bonnie was an active member of Salty Sisters), purchased the 49-foot boat “You Gotta Believe” shortly after hitting a $2-million lottery in 1992 and embarked on many nautical journeys. Bonnie’s love of travelling continued throughout her life, particularly enjoying her trips to Paris with the French Connection – Nancy Vildibill, Karen Lieberman and Sheila Moore – and cross-Atlantic cruises to Europe and visits to Hawaii, Canada and the Amazon with companion and lover of 10 years, Sid Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by parents Harley and Louise Hood; husband Duke (Rohrbaugh) and her sons Norman Johnston and David Johnston.
She is survived by her sister, Josie Campisano; sons Michael Rohrbaugh (Ginger), Doug Rohrbaugh and Robert Rohrbaugh; daughters Sherill Miller, Cindy Sheppard (Jack) and Patricia Brophy; grandchildren John Barnes (Faith), Allison Barnes (Don McLean), Taylor Barnes (Ashley), James Sheppard, Adam Sheppard, Brian Rohrbaugh, Nicholas Rohrbaugh, Hannah Rohrbaugh, Grant Rohrbaugh, Jeff Miller, Lawren Miller, Jessica Kinard, Jason Rohrbaugh, Robert Rohrbaugh, Jr., Eric Calderale (Christine) and 16 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be scheduled when COVID restrictions have been eased.
