Bernadette was born January 25, 1936, in Wilmington, DE to Frank A. Conlin and Eleanor (Punte) Conlin.
Predeceased by her parents and brothers, Gerald Herman & Charles Richard Conlin and her grandson Nicholas Ambrosino.
Graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1953.
Bernadette met her husband Frank A. Thomas, Jr. in 1957 and married him on April 19, 1958 in Wilmington, DE.
Frank is retired from the United States Marine Corps and they have lived in California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Missouri, New Jersey, Delaware and Florida.
Bernadette served as the president of the SNCO Wives Club at Camp Le Jeune, North Carolina, and she also worked with the Navy Relief organization. After Frank’s retirement, they moved to St Petersburg, Florida.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Council of Catholic Woman at Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed being the Queen Mother in the Pinewood Village Red Hat Society and was very active in their Social Committee. Bernadette and her husband Frank enjoyed being Santa and Mrs. Claus every year.
Bernadette is survived by her husband, Frank, of 59 years.
Other survivors include her son Joseph (Tina), New Castle, DE; and her daughters Karen (Mark) Thompson, St Petersburg, FL; Susan Thomas, Clearwater, FL; Janice (Mark) Monaghan, Palmetto, FL; and Carol (Robert) Wright, New Castle, DE.
Mrs. Thomas is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Carter, Matthew & Alexander Thompson; Victoria, Grace & Olivia Thomas, Fortuna & Lucia Ambrosino; Erin, Colleen & Kelly Monaghan; Cody & Ciara Wright, her sister Loretta Kilby, Wilmington, DE and her sister-in-law, Joan Swift, Haddon Heights, NJ.
Her final resting place and interment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
