Alice Mykel Deitz past over on December 2, 2017 in New Port Richey, Florida at the age of 94. Alice was born in Syracuse, New York in 1923 and graduated from Vocational Central High School in 1940 and Central Tech Business School in 1941. Alice was employed by Dunn and Bradstreet as a secretary beginning in 1942 until 1944. At which time she left to stay home to raise a family until 1954. In that year Alice began work at East Hills Elementary Schools as a Cashier in the cafeteria. In the spring of 1961 she was engaged as a secretary at General Electric Corporation, Heavy Military Defense Dept. Alice retired to Florida in 1972 and earned her Realtor’s license and later her Brokerage license. She practiced this profession at Florida Home Finders, Florida Developmental, Inc. and Helen Thomas Realty until her retirement in 1998. While raising her family Alice served as a Campfire Girl Leader, Girl Scout Leader, and Boy Scout Leader. She was assistant Chair director to her husband at Fairmont Community Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church and Onondaga Valley Presbyterian Church. When she moved to Florida, Alice first lived in Fort Lauderdale until she moved to Ocala East Villas in Central Florida. Alice attended the Silver Spring Presbyterian Church where she served as Assistant Choir Director and Elder. She was also active the Ocala Civic Theater and was the Chairperson of the Booster Club Refreshment Committee. In 2007 Alice moved to New Port Richey with her daughter. She then moved to a nursing home where she served as President of the Resident’s Association. Alice is survived by a son, Bruce (Laura) Mykel and a daughter, Nancyanne Mykel. She had nine grandchildren, Melissia (Larry) Seay, Gerry (Roberta) Moore, Tonia (Anita) Woodson, Aaron Mykel, Dakota Mykel, Patrick Mykel, Jessica Mykel, Daniel Mykel, and Briaunna Mykel; eleven great-grandchildren, Tyler Coon, Mikki Woodson, Kelcie (Jonathan) Canipe, Dylan Donnelly, Jareth Seay, Mykel Seay, Geoffry (Marianna) Seay, Kailey Seay, Shawn Moore, and Jessica Moore; two great great-grandchildren, Kyler Canipe and Linkin Canipe. She is predeceased by Gerald B. Mykel (Husband), Roscoe Deitz (Husband) and her daughter Glee Moore. Alice loved music, dancing and laughter. She played piano and organ, served, painted, and was an avid and talented crafter. She was well known for her kindness, generosity, and beautiful smile.
