Born on May 20, 1955, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Alan was the son of Ronald Iver Borjeson, Jr. and Anna Mary (Decker) Borjeson. He graduated from West Boylston High School before beginning a career that reflected his adventurous spirit and strong work ethic. Over the years, he held many different jobs that took him across the country, working in hands-on roles and always meeting new people along the way.
More than anything, Alan loved the freedom of the open road on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He also had a lifelong passion for fishing, especially deep-sea fishing and spending time on the water with friends and his grandchildren. He treasured those moments and the friendships he built throughout his life.
More than 20 years ago, Alan made Florida his home after moving from West Boylston, Massachusetts, to the Tampa Bay area. He loved the Florida weather and the life he built there. Over the years, he formed countless friendships, and those who knew him will remember his easygoing nature, generous heart, and the many good times they shared together.
Alan is survived by his daughter, Amanda Weissman of Halifax, Nova Scotia, her husband, Adam Weissman, and his beloved grandchildren, Amelia and Alexander. He is also survived by Ronald Borjeson and Sheila Garzoni of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Richard and Carolyn Borjeson of Hudson, Florida, along with nieces, nephews, and dear friends who became like family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Iver Borjeson, Jr. and Anna Mary (Decker) Borjeson, and his sister, Marcia Roberts.
Funeral and memorial service information will be announced at a later date.
