Paul and I after a shift at Spaghetti Works.

Paul took this photo of me in 2019. I moved to Omaha permanently that winter, and when it was cold and miserable out we would meet up at Sozo coffee house and chit chat, share music, and he would photograph me. We met working at Spaghetti Works and he was one of my first friends here. I have so many pictures he took which I will cherish indefinitely. Just this March he gave me an old film point-and-shoot and I’ve been taking pictures with it ever since. I hadn’t heard from him for a while, which was typical-sometimes we went a few months without talking and then would meet back up again, but a mutual friend told me today about his passing. He had a keen eye and a kind heart, and I will miss him so much.

Paul lived in the Skinner Bldg. where my wife and I met him. When our bldg. flooded and some residents were asked to leave because of damage he was caught up in that. He had a great family support system but given a week to move we could see he would need a little help. We found him to be such a great guy and brilliant, I thought. He would take the bus out west to fly his kite or go to midtown to hit tennis balls or taking pictures with that funny little instant camera. His interests were many and varied. We were heartbroken to hear of his passing  and he will be missed. Prayers to the family.

I worked with Paul at spaghetti works restaurant. He was a kind and perceptive man.

Paul was such a kind hearted soul. His quick was so refreshing after a long day at work. I had the pleasure of working with him for several years at spaghetti works. It’s hard to image a spaghetti works without Paul in it. My deepest sympathy to his family in this time. His light will forever shine. 

Paul was a humble and a brilliant person. He could solve a rubrics cube behind his back.
He was a gifted and award winning actor.
He took wonderful photographs, often the old fashioned way…with a light meter, turning his bathroom into a dark room…
skills he learned from his grandfather. 
He had a special gift that served him well as a children’s leader in BSF. He could remember how learning was processed at every year of his life, and tailored his teaching to be age appropriate. One of his students told his father: “When l grow up, I want to be a Bible teacher like Mr. Paul.”
But with all these talents, his greatest gift was his heart.
He was loving, gentle and humble…and one of my dearest friends. I miss you, Paul.

I will miss Paul @ work so much. He always made me laugh & smile. He was so witty! We shared a love for music & I am so sad he’s gone. Sending love to his family & may he rest in peace. 

I work with Paul at spaghetti works. He always had a smile to give and a laugh. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with me. Paul liked to talk about theater. I can tell it was something he was passionate about. We miss Paul, and I hope that he is onto his next adventure.  Love Anna. 

I miss my brother Paul so much. It was so hard to hear of his passing. I had to share these photos of him as a little boy with my parents, and with his siblings. 
Paul was such a great stage actor, photographer and he adored his family. He loved his co workers at Spaghetti Works and I know that you are all sad over his loss. Paul loved the beach so much. His favorite memories were in at the Chesapeake Bay, in St. Augustine and in Hatteras NC. His ashes will be sprinkled in all of these three places.
We would talk about his love for living in the Old Market, riding a bike and he loved flying his kite. I imagine him in heaven doing this now and being with our Lord and Savior.

Paul was the best of all our regulars. He came in every day with a smile and conversation. He had a genuine heart and made an impression as a kind and caring person. You never know the kind of impact that your everyday interactions will have on those around you and you never know how long you'll have the people you take for granted in your life. Be kind - always. 
I learned that from Paul's life. 
He showed a little picture of what Jesus is like to every person. He made an impact and I can honestly say that he will be missed by ALL who knew him, even a little bit. 

I worked with Paul for 8 years. He was one of my favorite people to see because we always had entertaining and occasionally deep conversations about practically every topic; family, hobbies, classic TV, movies, and occasionally philosophy. It didn't matter how obscure the subject; he almost always knew what I was talking about. He was kind. He was always interested. If someone from my family came by he always wanted to meet them and was so polite. He will be missed. 

Paul was so easy going. He was a regular at a coffee shop I worked at. The staff loved him and hid his mug behind the counter for him. He also carried a Polaroid on holidays and took several photos of my family. Solid guy.
