Judy Lorraine Lee (Muller) was born on April 22, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas and passed away in her home on March 1, 2023 after a battle with vascular dementia. Judy met her husband Vernon E. Lee on a blind date in Topeka, Kansas and after a brief courtship, they were married on October 11, 1965. They raised two children Jeffery Wade, and Stacy Jean in McAlester, Oklahoma. In 1989, the Union Pacific Railroad brought them to Omaha, Nebraska where they still reside.
Judy had a passion for photography and quilting and was very proud of the blue ribbon she won at the county fair. While raising her family she worked as a substitute teacher, served as a Cub Scout leader, and was very active in the PTA. She loved to sing and often sang solos in church.
Judy’s greatest passion was her family. She was the oldest of seven children and spent her younger years helping her parents raise her siblings. She was preceeded in death by her father Darrel Muller, mother Veda (Nielsen) Muller, and brother Richard Muller. She is survived by her husband Vernon Lee, son Jeffery (Sharyl) Lee of Brimmerton, WA, daughter Stacy (Brian) Roberts of Omaha, NE, two grandchildren Lauren Garcia, and Jared Lee, and two great grandchildren, Aaliyah and Ezra Garcia, brothers Michael, Robert, and Mark Muller, and sisters Janice Atkinson, and Joyce (Charlie) Novak, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Judy will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska at a future date. Thank you for all of the love and support over the years and in the future. With love, Vernon, Jeff, and Stacy.
