James M Blake

He is survived by children: Andrea Dawn Colyer of W. Watchahatchie, WA, James Mathew Blake of California, Douglas Allen Blake of California; several grandchildren; sister Sheila Joyce of Crown City, OH; ex-wife Robin Acher of W Watchahatchie, WA; and significant other/partner Jane E Kirchner of Lincoln, NE.

His parents Jerry Marrah Blake and Veronica Lillian (Grady) Blake preceded him in death. He had other siblings who did not survive him.

James enjoyed school and agriculture. He raised animals in the Future Farmers of America.

He enlisted in the US Marines in 1973 and received various training, including counseling. He was a prison corrections officer and a recruiter until his 20-year retirement in 1993. He lived all over the world.

Thereafter he was a cross-country trucker until moving to Lincoln, NE.

In 2010, he made a vow to God and became a Nazarite as found in Numbers 6. He never cut his hair, drank wine or ate grapes.

He chose cremation in order to have his ashes cast to the wind.
