Henrietta Preasha, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 15, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born on May 17, 1950, in Charlottesville, VA to Floyd and Frances Mitchell, and her departure from this world has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Henrietta Preasha was an accomplished woman who dedicated herself to her family and her profession. She pursued her education at Virginia State University, where she earned a degree in accounting. Armed with her knowledge and skills, she embarked on a successful career in the Accounting sector, leaving a lasting impact on all those she worked with.
As an esteemed member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Henrietta Preasha embraced sisterhood and service. She exemplified the values of scholarship, leadership, and community engagement that the sorority holds dear. Through her involvement, she made a positive impact on the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of empowerment and unity.
However, it was in her role as a mother and grandmother that Henrietta Preasha truly shined. She was a pillar of strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her two sons and four grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into creating a nurturing and supportive environment for them. Henrietta Preasha will forever be remembered for the love and guidance she provided, as well as the countless cherished memories she helped create.
Beyond her family, Henrietta Preasha had a warm and giving nature that endeared her to all who crossed her path. She was known for her infectious smile, her kind heart, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her friendships were deep and lasting, a testament to her loyalty and genuine care for others.
In her free time, Henrietta Preasha enjoyed various hobbies and interests. She had a passion for travel, always seeking new adventures and experiences. She had a keen eye for romance novels and enjoyed reading. Additionally, she loved spending time in nature, whether it be gardening, hiking, or simply appreciating the beauty of the world around her.
As we mourn the loss of Henrietta Preasha, we take solace in the fact that her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be forever remembered as a remarkable woman who exemplified love, strength, and grace. Henrietta Preasha is survived by her two sons, Charles Preasha and Marcus Preasha, and her four grandchildren, Kaelen Preasha, Kristin Preasha, Aidan Graham, and Maxwell Preasha. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family members, close friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Henrietta Preasha's life will be held on 6/24/2023 at County Line Baptist Church (4070 Country Line Rd, Kents Store, VA 23084) with a reception at Bandit’s Ridge (5061 Broad St Rd, Louisa, VA 23093-2102).
