Sioux Falls - Earl Dean Johnsen, 67, passed away January 8, 2019 at the U of Nebraska Medical Center due to complications from a heart transplant. He was born May 20, 1951, to Clyde and Muriel (Franklin) Johnsen of Wessington, SD.
He was a talented photographer who owned Earl Johnsen Photography in Huron. He was a past president of the SD Professional Photographers Assn. He later lived in Sioux Falls and North Ft. Myers, FL. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, flying and visiting with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, January 19 at Cowboy Way Church, 46089 263rd St, rural Hartford, SD 57033 with family present at 10am.
He is survived by; brothers, Jim (Jill) Johnsen, Lee Johnsen, sister, Wanda (Bill) Osman, nephew, Adam (Kelly) Johnsen, nieces, Lacey Johnsen, Mary Jo and Elizabeth Osman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorials to Cowboy Way Church.
