Caroline "Carol" Virginia Langabee

"Carol, as she preferred to be called, was born in Omaha on January 23, 1950. She was the youngest child and only daughter of Clarence L. Langabee Jr. and Marie F. Langabee. She passed away in her home in Bellevue on February 23, 2026.

Carol grew up in Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue High School (now Bellevue East) in 1968. She later attended the C.E School of Commerce in Omaha. She initially worked in telemarketing, and later worked in a clerical capacity for H. P. Smith Ford in Omaha for a number of years.

Family was very important to Carol. She was very much an introvert and felt most comfortable amongst her closest family members. Growing up, she enjoyed family game nights, playing various card games with her parents and brothers, and other activities where the whole family participated. Later in life, she got great joy from interacting with her niece and nephews as they grew up.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by brothers Robert Langabee (Joanne) of Bellevue and Kenneth Langabee (Barrnee) of Gladstone, Missouri, as well as one niece and three nephews.

Her ashes will be interred in Bellevue Cemetery adjacent to the graves of her mother and father. The family will hold a private memorial service at a date still to be determined."
