For 45 years, Carol worked as a waitress at Village Inn, where she became a beloved fixture to countless regular customers. Her long-standing presence and warm service created lasting connections with patrons who returned not just for the food, but for Carol’s familiar smile and welcoming spirit.
Carol’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Terri Green and Sheri Ludemann; her brother Bobby Youngs; her son-in-law Dale Ludemann; her grandchildren Daniel Holzapfel, Zach Holzapfel (Meagan), Miranda Ludemann, Savannah Ludemann, and Olivia Ludemann; great-granddaughter, Coraline Holzapfel; brother-in-law Eugene Lowther; nieces and nephews. Each of them held a special place in Carol’s heart and brought her immense pride and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kathryn and Howard Youngs; her husband Kenneth Schleichardt; her sister Linda Lowther; her brothers Jerald and Gerald Youngs; her sisters-in-law Sharon Kirby and Evie Youngs; and son-in-law Gregory Green.
Carol found joy in simple pleasures – playing Keno, drinking lots of Pepsi, enjoying card games with family, shopping for great deals, and most of all, spending time surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth and humor made every gathering brighter.
May Carol’s memory live on and bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire love and togetherness among her family.
