Bonnie Mae Labens

Bonnie Mae (Hruska) Labens died peacefully on, July 30, 2026 at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in La Vista, NE. She was proceeded in death by parents, John Hruska & Sylvia (Raymon) Hruska, son, Greg Labens, and husband, Eugene Labens.

She is survived by son Larry, (Julie) Papillion, daughter-in-law Grace, of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.

Bonnie was born on a farm in Colfax County, NE. and lived there until high school when they moved to Columbus. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1957, and married Eugene in 1958.

Bonnie was successful as an Avon representative, becoming a district manager.

Later years, she & Eugene owned Gloor Bakery in Columbus.

She was an avid bowler and attended many tournaments. She was also a fan of NASCAR, and the Indy 500, and attended several times with her children and grandchildren.

She and Eugene traveled many times to visit their children in Indy, and Montana. They also enjoyed spending winters in Arizona.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
