Lucia Elizabeth Morgin

Rest in peace Lucia Morgin 1960-2023. We were married 36 years and I am heartbroken. Her joy for life, passion for excellence, and love for all remain with her three children, Ricky, Alana, and Julia. Lucia was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Maria Thumas. Her light, passion, and love remains with her brothers and sisters, Rafael Thumas, Juanita Guiterrez, Frank Thumas, Edith Ruiz, James Thumas, and MaryLu Hegarty, and also with her brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, cousins, and a community of friends from coast to coast. We all loved her dearly and she will be missed tremendously.

Lucia graduated from St. Paul's High School and attended San Francisco State University. She was a vocalist in the Bay Area Salsa scene and performed with bands such as Ascension and La Orquestra Positiva. While raising her three beautiful children she worked for the San Ramon Valley Unified School district for 15 years. She taught herself Braille and along with formal instruction allowed her to succeed in her last role as a Braille Interpreter. One of her dearest accomplishments was earning her Bachelors of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento in the fall of 2022.

Lucia will be with all of us every day. She impacted many lives and we loved her deeply.
