Born in NYC, Ashley was a force to be reckoned with. His mother instilled in him skills that made him a valued negotiator in many of his family’s Irish disputes. He combined the roles of Henry Kissinger and Mother Teresa to encourage everyone to talk together and not commit homicide. That grounding pre-ordained his future as an uber-salesman specializing in travel. He never forgot the personal history of anyone he met. You were friends for life. The world was his playground, and his impromptu "Yip" tours were famous for their nonstop surprises. A friend famously said going on a trip with Ashley was like accompanying a rabid chihuahua - yip, yip, yip, a rain forest hike in the morning, a cathedral by noon, nap on the beach, followed by bargain hunting, and a sound & light show to end the day. His knowledge of the arts made museum and gallery visits educated "insider" adventures. His life was well-lived and a joy to all. He is survived by his spouse of 25 years Brian Bonner, trusty dog Charlie, cherished relatives, and friends throughout the world.
