William Leslie Merrill Jr.

William Leslie Merrill Jr. joined our heavenly father on January 5th, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife Nadine Merrill. He was born on September 4th, 1941 in Lewiston, Maine to William Leslie Merrill and Virginia Martha White. He worked at the Harris County Toll Road for 10+ years before retiring. He loved spending time with his family and going on road trips. One of his favorite places to go was Bandera, TX. He enjoyed going hiking and making hammocks. He was known for his Yankee attitude and ways. He would always tell people that he was a son of a fisherman, but couldn’t fish. He was survived by his brother and sister-in-law Jack and Mayota Merrill. His daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Steve Spangler, daughter and son-in-law Corinna and Abel Enriquez, daughter and son-in-law Virginia and Michael Jacobi, stepdaughter and son-in-law Evelyn and Alfred LaPaglia, stepson Edward Carnes, stepdaughter-in-law Trudy McGreevy, and foster daughter and son-in-law DeAnna and Michael Marquart. He had 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Cassandra and husband Jimmy Cole and children Abby and Jimmy, Stephanie and husband Martin Uresti and children Jovan, Isabella, and Gabriel, Lonnie and wife Kelly Gastelum and children Elijah and Nova, William Gastelum, Tatiana and husband Miguel Santamaria and children Elena, Ethan, Thiago, Jose and Sebastian, Skylar Merrill, Logan Yarbrough, Kayleigh Jacobi, Cody Marquart, Brandon Carnes, Justin and wife Megan Carnes, Abel Enriquez, Daisy Enriquez, Amy Enriquez and daughter Ava.
