Wanda Jo Redwine

Jo was born on May 20th, 1937 in Eastland, Texas. She lived in Desdemona, Texas as a child, living and helping on the family farm. Jo learned how to drive on a school bus and was responsible for driving it for her father during harvest season. She graduated from Desdemona High School, where she was the Salutatorian of her Senior Class. Jo married soon after high school and moved to Fort Worth where she became a stay at home mom with three daughters.

Jo started working in the 70’s at Monnings and Dillards in retail. She went to work as a claims processor in the insurance industry until she retired.

Jo was an avid sports fan, loving the Dallas Cowboys and especially the Texas Rangers. She was so excited when they won the World Series!! Jo’s world revolved around the activities of her daughters’ families, attending every event she could possibly make. She saw baseball, football, basketball and soccer games. She attended dance and cheer competitions and even went to watch games that her family coached. It was normal for her to go to 4-5 events on a Saturday to see as many of her grandkids and great grandkids compete as she could. This brought her more joy than imaginable. All of the parents and kids on the teams knew who Jo was and they all called her Meme. Jo also loved playing games, especially 88 dominoes and Wahoo and she could be very competitive.

Jo was preceded in death by her Father, William, and her mother, Eula, and her 6 older brothers and sisters.

Jo is survived by her daughters, Sherrye Hatcher and her husband David, Tammye Heath and her husband Bobby, Dion Hobbs and her husband Jeff.

Grandchildren Kyle Hatcher and his wife Karsten, Chris Hatcher and his wife Joy, Brandi Heath, Tanner Heath, Jared Hobbs and wife Ashlyn, Ashley Guerrero and her husband Jose.

Great-grandchildren Tucker, Chandler, Collins, Sloan, Ollie, Jacoby, Olenna and Jude.

Jo will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
